Compact Hydraulic Power Unit

Recently ElectriTech had the opportunity to work on a compact hydraulic power unit project that required our in-house mechanical engineering and CAD design expertise.


Our client approached us with a specific set of requirements for a hydraulic power unit that would meet Australian standards. We took their requirements and went to work, utilizing our in-house mechanical engineering team and CAD design software to create a design that met their needs while also taking into consideration the space limitations of the project.


To ensure that the power unit would be easy to maintain in the future, we used standard stocked components. This approach ensures that replacement parts are readily available, reducing downtime in the event of any maintenance or repair needs.


One of the major challenges of the project was designing a compact unit that would fit within the limited space available. Using our 3D CAD software, we were able to create a highly detailed design that allowed us to visualize the unit in three dimensions before it was manufactured. This allowed us to identify any potential issues before they became a problem and make the necessary adjustments to the design.


One of the key features of our design was its ability to use a larger motor. By designing the unit with this feature, we provided our client with the flexibility to upgrade the motor in the future, should their needs change or they require more flow from the unit.


In addition to the motor upgrade feature, we also upgraded the frame of the power unit from painted mild steel to stainless steel. This upgrade provides durability and longevity, ensuring that the unit will last for many years to come.


The end result was a high-quality hydraulic power unit that met all of our client's requirements and was ready to be put into action.
